ABOUT THE ROLE
Newly created role within a fast-paced export Seafreight team. The role, Export Seafreight Supervisor is a hands-on role with the responsibility of 3 direct reports. Each staff member is responsible for a tradelane, the supervisor is tasked with ensuring all operational requirements are executed on time and accurately. Guide, mentor and cross-train a dedicated team in a role reporting into a National Seafreight Export Manager

DUTIES
• Ensure staff are trained and versed in all Export Seafreight tradelanes and operations
• Process export operations in a timely manner to strong deadlines with strong attention to detail
• Supervise staff through guidance and mentoring to ensure a settled and motivated team
• Maintain finance compliance through invoicing and whips/accruals report management
• Client visits with the commercial team to build strong relationships
• Ensure staff are trained and versed in all Export Seafreight tradelanes and operations
• Process export operations in a timely manner to strong deadlines with strong attention to detail
• Supervise staff through guidance and mentoring to ensure a settled and motivated team
• Maintain finance compliance through invoicing and whips/accruals report management
• Client visits with the commercial team to build strong relationships
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• 5 years’ experience in Export Seafreight operations
• Previous exposure to wholesale operations an advantage
• Exposure to supervising staff within an operations department
• Demonstrated ability to maintain commercial relationships
• Strong CW1 exposure looked upon strongly
• 5 years’ experience in Export Seafreight operations
• Previous exposure to wholesale operations an advantage
• Exposure to supervising staff within an operations department
• Demonstrated ability to maintain commercial relationships
• Strong CW1 exposure looked upon strongly
