The Brisbane warehouse team in Hamilton are looking for a full time Yardperson to work in the Industrial Machinery area of our Brisbane warehouse.  You will receive, handle, catalogue, locate and despatch a wide variety of Industrial equipment including, but not limited to, Transport, Earthmoving and Access equipment. Equipment will also vary in size from small restricted access machines to major Mine Spec machines.

Responsibilities will include:

• Unloading of trucks via MMHE and manual handling
• Deliver a superior level of accuracy when receipting, documenting and despatching equipment
• Correctly describing items for cataloguing purposes
• Photographing items for cataloguing purposes. Utilising both digital & drone technology.
• Data entry of catalogues into excel and our Auction Management System
• Ensure received goods are stored safely and accurately and in accordance with Site Management Plan and all OH&S aspects.

• Receipt and transfer of stock accurately
• Report errors in product selection and quality / quantity to Team Leader immediately
• Perform cycle counts / stocktakes of stock where requested
• Operate Manual Handing Equipment (MMHE)
• Share ideas, thoughts and information with manager, peers and broader team
• Manual labour – some heavy lifting involved.

• Deal with customers/vendors face to face in a professional manner
• Set up machinery in yard for inspection of sales in a professional manner, with a focus on visual appeal and safe inspection.
• Facilitate viewing where customers will inspect goods while being supervised/escorted through machinery yard.
• Security on site making sure machinery is not tampered with or damaged at inspection
• Ensure Customer documentation is correct, including relevant permits to move machinery on public roads
• Supervision of machinery loading in accordance with all OH&S policies.
• Ensuring all C.O.R. requirements are adhered to.
• Potential adhoc overtime / weekend work where approval has been granted.
• Special projects when required

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Forklift licence is mandatory
• HR Licence mandatory
• Very good understanding of C.O.R. responsibilities.
• HC / MC licence an advantage
• Computer literacy - Intermediate
• Knowledge of Industrial type machinery an advantage
• Good literacy, numeracy and accuracy skills
• The ability to reach and exceed daily KPI’s
• Adherence to WH&S policies both internally and externally
