Bailey Personnel is a National Staffing Solutions provider predominately to the Aviation and Global Logistics sector. Due to our high rate of temp - perm conversions at our client sites, we are looking at onboarding new staff to fill additional work placements at our Aviation based clients in and around the Melbourne Airport, Tullmarine area.
Most of our current vacancies are for day shift roles, shift start times can vary between 6-9am, Monday - Friday with overtime as required on Saturday's. Shift duration is usually 8 hours, but can extend into overtime penalties, based on the work volumes daily shifts could be up to 10 hours. Flexibility, can do attitude and physical stamina will see you succeed long term in the Aviation and Airfreight Sector!
This exciting opportunity will require the following day to day operational tasks and responsibilities -
- High attention to detail is critical while checking Import/Export consignments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Reliability is essential in the Aviation sector
- RF scanning experience prefered by not essential
- Excellent ability to follow instructions
- Prefered is experiene with Forklift operations in a time sensitive environment - meeting Aircraft deadlines is essential
- Loading/unloading, manual handling tasks including build and break downs of palletised goods, pallet wrapping, netting are all required skills
To be considered for a position with bailey personnel, you will need to clearly demonstrate the following -
- Commitment and reliability
- Preferably holding a current Forklift licence with minimum 12 months recent experience working with Air Freight
- Current Victorian drivers licence
- Able to pass an Australian Federal Police Check and pre-employment drug & alchohol test
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out labouring tasks
- Adaptable and flexible to meet the changing demands within the Airfreight Sector
