Fastway Couriers is one of Australia's leading last mile courier delivery providers that is comprised of 27 Regional Franchisees and over 800 Courier Franchisees. We provide cost effective and reliable courier service and are committed to delighting the customer at the door.
An Operations Supervisor is required to manage the processing of inbound and outbound freight. We envisage the operational efficiency will be delivered through effective leadership and delegation of workloads to your team. This is a hands-on role and will require an individual with integrity and a proven track record in team and operations management. Ideally you will come from an international logistics background.
Key responsibilities but not limited to:
- Manage escalations, complaints, delays and problem shipments from origins.
- Work with Clearing Agent to ensure all incoming masters are alerted to customs on time and picked up from the airlines.
- Work with Clearing Agent to ensure all shipments are reconciled, scanned, re-labelled and sorted to the correct Regional Franchise efficiently.
- Ensure all Aramex freight from Sydney gateway is lodged into the Fastway network within designated timelines.
- Liaise and work effectively to ensure best Service Level Agreement results.
- Implement new policies and procedures within the Fastway International Sydney team and operations.
- Manage the depot space and assets.
- Monitor all shipments through customs.
- Implement and manage processes relating to onforwarding of inbound shipments.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Transport and logistics experience essential (export/import)
- Experience in leading and motivating teams
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- A can-do attitude with excellent people skills
- Resilient and a high level of personal accountability.
