About the job

Reporting to the General Manager of Building Maintenance this position will be responsible for the management of the Purchasing and Inventory Team and all Stores personnel at our sites.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Manage the Purchasing and Inventory Team and stores personnel, provide leadership, governance, guidance & training to staff, develop and implement purchasing and inventory management instructions, policies and procedures, work with relevant parties to review, evaluate and approve specifications for issuing and awarding bids, ensure that staff members are adequately trained and competent to perform essential job functions in a safe &  responsible manner, assure that all plant, equipment and appliances conform to statutory and manufacturer requirements, analyse current purchasing activities and recommend improvement through more efficient purchasing methods, quantity discounts, standardisation and value analysis, conduct analysis to forecast potential inventory issues and report on inventory activities and variances.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a good understanding of OH&S and other applicable legislation. Have the ability to work independently as well as within the broader project and corporate teams. Be able to manage people and resources effectively. Adapt to changing priorities as well as take ownership of the role. Have a strong commitment to continuous improvement and best practice as well as have the ability to multi-task and organise a diverse workload. You will also have strong communication skills to be able to communicate effectively and professionally with stakeholders.
