Our warehouse in Epping is seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Assistant to join our small team.
Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm
Job tasks and responsibilities
The successful candidate will enjoy a varied and highly autonomous role which will include the following duties:
- Picking and packing of orders
- Loading and unloading of stock
- Stocktaking
- Ensuring compliance of all Stores documentation
- General warehouse support to other team members
- Customer service / counter sales
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Some manufacturing and finishing of goods
- Maintaining stock levels and raising purchase orders where required
- Operating a forklift and other tools
Skills and experience
We are seeking an individual that:
- Can manage and perform every aspect of a warehouse operation
- Is experienced in and has an understanding of a systemised warehouse environment
- Is motivated to help build and improve our business
- Is a problem solver and decision maker with great attention to detail who works well under pressure
- Is driven, with excellent customer service and communication skills
- Is handy with tools and enjoys getting their hands dirty and fixing things
- Is physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
- Enjoys working autonomously as well as in a team
- Has a forklift License
- Has good knowledge of and respect for health and safety requirements
- Is methodical and maintains and takes pride in a clean work environment
- Thrives working to tight deadlines and making the impossible happen
