Key responsibility
- Have at least 3-5 years’ experience in setting and operating on Folding Machine, CNC Brake Press machines
- Ability to work autonomously and hit the ground running, natural problem solver and an understanding of why machines are not at peak performance and how to fix errors.
- Solid background working with sheet metal
- Ability to program Folding Machine
- Bending, folding and cutting experience a must!
- Unbend and forming operations using standard and custom punches
- Work with tight tolerances
- Produce parts for fabrications operations
- Meet customer specifications and delivery requirements
- Perform spot inspections of parts
- Perform all required routine and minor maintenance activities according to procedures
- Configure bend allowances for sheet metal (stainless, aluminium & regular steel)
- Check machine for defects and repair if necessary
- Read engineering drawings and blueprints
- Knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance
- Ability to distinguish different material types including stainless steel mild steel and aluminium
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to prioritise and multitask in an effective way
- Must be a strong team player
- Must be reliable with regular attendance
- Ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision while meeting all product quality requirements
- Forklift licence
