A job with a manufacturer in the construction industry managing the distribution of products nationwide.
Your new company
Your new company are a international company that are in the manufacturing of specialist construction components and are looking to add a distribution manager to their ranks. The company operate across all states and this role would encompass organizing distribution to customers in each state.
Your new role
Your new role is to ensure the distribution of products to customers is done in a seamless and cost effective manner. You will have a small team reporting into you who you will manage and support daily. You will liaise with national and local freight companies negotiate on rates and monitor performance. You will provide reports monthly and liaise with internal stakeholder to support the business processes and performance.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a team player that has a background in transport or distribution. You will be an excellent communicator and strong in multi-tasking. You will also have a good knowledge of inventory and optimum inventory levels to ensure lead times for products across the country are minimized.
