JOB STATEMENT

The primary responsible for the role of Customer Service / Operations Manager is to manage and oversee the Customer Service and Operations Team, providing support, advice and effective freight forwarding solutions to our customers.

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the Operations and Customer Service activities for the Branch
  • Following directly the Operations and Customer Service activities for Key clients. Maintaining information standards, revenues and pricing within Cargo-wise
  • Drive Service Performance Objectives and Key Performance Indicators
  • Liaise and coordinate with Customers in order to provide and ensure the highest level of service
  • Coordinate the daily customer service and operations team in the Branch
  • Responsible for daily Airfreight Operations & related Sales activities
  • Lead process implementation or continue improving current processes
  • Daily co-ordination of Warehouse activities including monthly revenue maintenance, with Branch manager guidance
  • Coordinate all urgent shipments and ensure that customer complaints are responded to in a timely manner by the respective staff, to ensure customer’s needs and issues are resolved promptly to their satisfaction
  • Ensure staffs are carrying out their duties in accordance to Company Policies and customer’s requirements / procedures
  • Working together with the Branch Manager ensuring the KPI and SOP are followed and met.
  • Assistance in reconciling monthly Branch performance

  • Extended and demonstrated experience in the Freight Forwarding industry
  • Able to communicate and interact effectively with people from multi-functional and diverse backgrounds
  • Strong Customer Service Orientation
  • Well-developed negotiation with persuasive skills 
  • Able to solve critical issues in a fast-paced environment with time sensitive deadlines
  • Excellent written communication skills, ability to present internally and externally with customer focus
  • Strong knowledge about Cargo-wise Software
  • An ability to actively roll out sales initiatives to existing customers
  • Excellent product and industry knowledge coupled with the ability to deal with clients at all levels  and translate client needs into a complete solution
  • Understanding of advanced job billing techniques, particularly costing processes
  • Good ability to build relationships both internally and externally
  • A committed team player, who is self-motivated, loyal, flexible & hands-on
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet internal and external client deadlines.
  • A strong desire to help the company be the market leader
