Rapid Hardware Group is a rapidly expanding company providing high quality products to leading retail companies. We are seeking an Inventory/Demand planner to contribute to our successful operation.
Based in Dandenong South, VIC, this is a full time role responsible for managing demand, inventory and purchase planning for a prescribed range of products to ensure accurate inventory levels across all States.
This role will include forecasting, reporting, reviewing and recommending inventory policy and purchasing plans, as well as ensuring QA is maintained in accordance with business practice.
To be successful the Inventory/Demand Planner will be expected to :-
- Analyse existing stock levels and place forward orders, liaising closely with suppliers/factories
- Work closely with Freight Forwarders and all warehouses across the business
- Effectively manage demand, inventory and purchase planning
- Regularly communicate and report stock availability to internal stakeholders
- Raise both local and overseas purchase orders
- Negotiate with current suppliers and potential new suppliers to ensure best price agreements
- Provide demand plan summaries and reports
- Ensure both supplier and inventory data is accurately maintained in ERP
- Successfully manage quarterly stock take at all warehouses
- Manage freight movements and charges
- Contribute to process improvements as required
Experience and Skills required:-
- At least 3 years’ experience in a role with responsibility for demand and inventory
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business
- Demonstrate proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts
- Successful track record of high achievement in inventory and demand planning, reporting and analysis
- Advanced use of ERP Systems.
- Strong analytical and decision making skills
