We currently have an opportunity for the right person as an Operations Analyst - Logistics. This role supports the Finance and Operations teams to deliver Annual Operating Plan & KPI’s through value added analysis and accurate and timely reporting and is responsible for the financial management reporting consolidation for 5 sites across Australia and New Zealand.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Accurate, timely and meaningful financial information to meet management and corporate requirements
  • Implement scorecard and other metrics for logistics that gives a fuller picture of financial result such as handling rates, freight rate analysis, and consolidate site reporting and analysis
  • Review and analysis of the annual standard cost freight budgets by route to ensure the cost rollups at sites are accurate and year on year variances explained
  • Support the new product launches and project costing requests as required
  • Participate in the periodic forecasting process and ensuring forecast accuracy
  • Support the Operations team in the maintenance, testing and improvement of the internal control environment, implementing process improvements
  • Support of Process Owners on Global Controls Standard testing
  • To support the development of improved systems, processes and standard operating procedures (both within the finance department and external departments) to ensure performance results are accurate, timely, and in accordance with company policies and statutory obligations

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Min 2 years’ experience in a finance role, with proven ability to deliver under tight deadlines
  • Exposure to financial accounting required and management accounting preferred
  • Systems Capability - Core ERP experience (SAP preferred), Excel (advanced), PowerPoint and Business Intelligence tools.
  • Strong business analysis skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate performance and process issues, or analysis in a well thought out, logical and holistic manner supported by facts, data and relevant analytics
  • High level interpersonal skills and ability to interact and lead cross-functional teams
  • Capable written and verbal communication skills
