Street Sweeper’s and LR - HC Driver’s Required

This established Local Council located in Sydney are seeking to further grow their team due to increasing workload. There is an immediate need for multiple Street Sweepers with LR through to HC Drivers Licence to join their street operations team.

About the Role:

As a Street Sweeper, you will need to have a unrestricted Drivers Licence. You will be part of the street operations team and be available to work Monday through to Friday (various Shift options from 5am starts through to 10pm starts). They also have weekend work and special events. You will begin on an initial on call requirement contract, with the view for Permanency

Skills & Experience:

• Carry out the waste collection in and around Sydney CBD and it’s surrounding areas
• Hold a valid NSW Drivers Licence from LR to a HR driver licence or higher
• Experience in street cleaning or similar environment (Plenty of walking/ hand held broom)
• Must be flexible to working in a varied role
• Be able to deal with the public in high profile areas
• Work in a team environment or unsupervised

The criteria:

• Ability and willingness to undertake physical work / Fit & Healthy
• Good knowledge of Sydney CBD area
• Able to work in a team environment and unsupervised
• Must have a can-do attitude / work Autonomously
• Good customer service & good communication skills
• Good understanding of WH&S
• Experience working for a council or as cleaner (not compulsory but a bonus)
