As a member of the Network Services Department, the Manager Network Assurance will develop, implement and manage quality assurance processes to support the Service Delivery function with meeting its safety-critical operational standards. The position will also act as the interface with the Project office to ensure that Service Delivery requirements, standards and expectations have been accurately identified, considered and delivered for rail projects.

Reporting to the General Manager Security and Resilience, the Manager Network Assurance position will be responsible for ensuring Service Delivery requirements are identified for rail projects, provide subject matter expertise for Emergency Management, business continuity and overall operational risk for projects and develop and manage quality assurance processes for the monitoring, verifying and reporting on safety-critical operational standards within Service Delivery.

This role plays an important function with the operations and project teams to ensure the Service Delivery functions are operationally ready to implement new projects into the day-to-day operations while ensuring network incidents (e.g. HSE, disruptions, system failures) are investigated, identified and actions implemented.

The successful candidate will demonstrate extensive operational leadership experience in providing support within a high risk, safety critical, fast-paced and high-level stakeholder engagement environment and possess qualifications in Lead Quality Audit, Risk Management and/or Business Continuity accompanied by working knowledge of Safety Management Systems, Auditing and Quality Assurance. HSE, Emergency Management or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment will be highly regarded. 

The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience.  The selection process may include aptitude assessments, a behavioural event interview, national probity (police) check and medical examination in line with the National Standard for Health Assessment for Rail Safety Workers.
