Warehousing Traineeship
Location: Brisbane and surrounds
All Trades Queensland is currently seeking a Warehousing Apprentice, for our host located in Acacia Ridge.
You will be employed by us in a full-time Warehousing Traineeship, earn a weekly wage and be exposed to all aspects of your trade.
As an ATQ Warehouse Trainee, you will be working towards obtaining a Certificate III in Warehousing Operations.
This qualification will allow you to pursue a career as a Store person/Driver.
Store persons/Drivers receive, handle and dispatch goods in stores and warehouses.
As an ATQ Warehouse Trainee you will learn to:
- Receive incoming goods, checking for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices
- Load and unload vehicles, opening packages and removing contents
- Operate computers to obtain details of location and quantity of items in stock
- Label goods with details of storage location
- Pack and weigh goods and seal boxes
- Operate machines to lift, place and remove goods on high levels
- Operate specialised equipment, such as manually and electronically guided order pickers, and checking goods off picking list
- Assist with regular stocktakes
- Use material handling equipment, such as hydraulic pallet lifters and hand trucks, to move goods
To be eligible, you must:
- Have a car & licence
- Hold a forklift licence (desirable, but not essential)
- Have previous experience in a similar environment (desirable, but not essential)
- Be able to cope with the physical demands of the job, including heavy lifting
- Have a genuine interest in working in this industry
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team
