Our client is an Australian owned and operated SME with a reputation as a leader in all facets of their engineering oriented business. With a diverse product range, the Company has a client base covering the full spectrum of the manufacturing industries from food through to mineral processing. Operating at the top end of their industry, growth has been averaging +10 % per year, and the Company now needs to upgrade the warehouse activities.With the focus on logistics and inventory supervision resulting in the creation of this new position.
Reporting directly to the Head Office Manager, the position will be responsible for managing the supply chain activities of the warehousing, and the national and international distribution functions.
The role will be responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of all daily inbound and outbound logistics activities whilst working collaboratively with other internal teams and logistics service providers to ensure that costs are optimised, and that service levels and deadlines are met.
Ideally you will have the experience and the skill to assist the Company with the practices and procedures and support systems manage the inventory functions. Very much a hands-on role, a key attribute will be the ability to motivate and develop your small support team, leading by example.
Based in Sydney’s western suburbs, the role offers a competitive base salary and a Monday to Friday work week. This is an opportunity to take on a key role with a successful Australian company.
