An opportunity exists for a Customer Service Executive to join our Melbourne team. The role will encompass hands on daily management of your assigned customer portfolio, engagement with overseas offices to ensure bookings are placed to meet customer deadlines, ensure accurate final invoicing and timely last mile delivery.
The role will be required to organize and monitor the international freight operations as well as complete administrative tasks allocated by the branch manager; time management and the ability prioritize are critical requirements. You will have a strong customer focus with a ‘can do’ attitude whilst being able balance the best interests of our company at all times.
The successful candidate will have industry operations knowledge & experience (minimum 5 years) including handling Australian Customs and DAFF freight issues. You will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, will be highly motivated and organised to ensure accuracy of all transactions and to achieve deadlines.
The key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Respond to customer concerns and operational issues competently, with a customer service orientation and in a timely manner.
- Ensure Purchase Order Management process is followed within Cargowise and ensure milestones are updated and maintained
- Proactive interaction with overseas office, agents to ensure bookings are placed and shipment executed Providing quotations as required
- Meet operational procedures for all customers
- Ensure timely and accurate final invoicing, landed costings or other required documentation
- Effective communication with customs, transport and warehouse departments to ensure smooth final delivery
- Implement, evaluate and maintain SOPs
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Adherence to Australian Customs, Border Protection Services & DAFF rules & regulations
Essential Requirements:
- Proven industry operations knowledge and experience (5 years)
- CargowiseOne – Freight Forwarding Software
- ICS - Integrated Cargo System
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail, methodical and detail focused in follow through of tasks
- Flexible and adaptable attitude in meeting needs of business
This is a full time position working Monday to Friday located at Tullamarine.
