An opportunity exists for a successful candidate to join the team at our site in Port Hedland. The Bruce Rock Engineering team enjoy their work, have excellent facilities and a work within a great community.
There is currently a Mechanic position available, which involves repair and maintenance of road transport and general industry products supplied to the mining and transport industries.
The successful candidate, as a Mechanic must possess and be able to demonstrate that they have:
The key responsibilities for this role includes:
- Servicing and maintenance of trucks
- Trade qualifications as a Mechanic with 2- 3 years' experience
- The knowledge, patience and experience to demonstrate to apprentices' the correct techniques for mastery in the trade
- Experience and knowledge in assembly work with truck / trailer electrical, air and hydraulic systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Be able to work effectively individually and as a team player
- Must have good time keeping and job recording / reporting skills and be able to use computerised production management systems
- Must be an enthusiastic, positive and patient person who takes pride in their work and team results
- An eye for detail and ability to work with precision and efficiency
In addition to the above, you will be required to:
- Must be able to pass the company drug and alcohol test
- Pre-Employment Medical
- Provide a current National Police Clearance certificate
- To hold or obtain a Western Australian driver's license
- HR or above driver's license
- Current Forklift ticket
