This role is situated in a highly visible State Government Department that employs thousands of staff with a wide range of responsibilities and skill sets in order to ensure that it operates effectively and efficiently.

This position plays a key role to maintain and coordinate the Light Vehicle Fleet utilising the Smart Pool booking system. 

Key Accountabilities

• Manage the admin and coordination of the organisation's fleet of motor vehicles
• Maintain accurate records of vehicles and keep all files concerning vehicle fleet management duly updated
• Ensures compliance with Government rules and regulations and files paperwork in support of this compliance as needed
• Schedules repairs or preventative maintenance, ensuring that the necessary numbers of fleet vehicles are available at all times
• Monitor and manage the logistical tracking system and control the use of the vehicles

The successful candidate must possess

• Prior experience in providing administrative support with minimal supervision in a large complex organisation
• High level computer skills and experience in relevant software such as MS Office and databases
• The ability to multitask and prioritise workloads effectively
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Experience with time management skills, and problem solving ability.
