Reporting directly to the General Manager this is a permanent role, with growth and promotion available to the career orientated employee.
  
To be considered, you must demonstrate the following -
 

·         High degree of experience in transport management / supervision within the local and interstate road transport sectors – this is essential.

·         Sound knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, WHS / OHS, NHVL and heavy vehicle regulations.

·         Appropriate BFM Accreditations to supervise a Basic Fatigue Management transport operation.

.          Have an ability to provide assistance with transport and loading knowledge to a driver over the phone, if required.

·         An ability to work within time constraints whilst maintaining legal obligations.

.         A clear understanding of common interstate routes 

.         Have a mechanical understanding of heavy vehicles

.         Being punctual and reliable are essential KPI factors of this position.

·         Have a competency in computer software (Microsoft Office, Translogix)

·         Be timely and thorough in your administrative tasks  

·         Having a very high focus on attention to detail and people management is essential to this role

Key Tasks:
 

·         Coordinating the daily interstate linehaul movements and overseeing the local operations.

·         Accurately scheduling and supervising the safe, compliant operations of heavy vehicle movements.

·         Daily supervision of drivers to ensure compliance with Company Policies and Procedures.

·         Building and maintaining effective relationships with all stakeholders.

·         Customer interaction, high volume telephone conversations and visits to a customers premises are an expectation of this role.

·         Checking / approval of interstate driver tripsheets and local driver runsheets for payment. 

·         Maximise utilisation of equipment and personnel whilst maintaining compliance to meet customer expectations.

·         Working as part of a small dedicated team in an excellent work environment.
