Experienced Warehouse Supervisor sought to oversee, coordinate and assist with the daily warehousing activities.

You will implement systems, productivity, quality and customer service standards and achieve the appropriate level of volume within time limits whilst assisting the team to reach these goals.

Ultimately, you should be able to ensure that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations.

As the warehouse works as a small team it is vital that this role assumes hands on duties as well as overall supervision. You will be required to pick and pack along with the team thus ensuring that the customer orders are met.

Responsibilities

• Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods
• Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and teams 
• Organize and maintain inventory and storage area
• Ensure shipments' and inventory transactions' accuracy
• Communicate job expectations and coach warehouse teams
• Determine rostering levels and assign workload
• Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practice
• Ensuring that high standards of health and safety, security in the work environment are maintained.
• Be a hands on part of the team with regard to picking/packing orders and all aspects of the daily warehousing activities
• Coaching, mentoring and guiding a small team of warehouse personnel.

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a warehouse supervisor
• Proven work experience as a pick packer
• Ability to input, retrieve and analyse data
• Hands-on participation and commitment to getting the job done
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Current Forklift License
