Be a part of something bigger


As a Supply Officer you will make an important contribution to setting-up and maintaining best-in-class supply processes throughout the Hospital. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely, accurate receipt, storage and on-going management of perishable and non-perishable goods delivered to the Hospital and utilised to provide patient care.


Key responsibilities:
  • manage the timely, accurate receipt, storage and dispatch of goods to unit/departments within the Hospital
  • help set-up supply processes throughout the Hospital in the lead-up to its opening and ongoing that are best-in-class, KPI efficient and can adapt to meet the changing needs of internal customers
  • pro-actively manage supply & imprest queries from internal customers and external suppliers/vendors
  • unload equipment and consumables from delivery vehicles
  • accurately record the delivery of equipment and consumables in IT systems
  • continually seek new ways to improve supply efficiency and customer service.


The position is hands on and requires a high level of physical work.

Opening 30 October 2018, Northern Beaches Hospital will be a fully licensed private hospital, providing care to public and private patients from an outstanding facility with a large range of quality services provided by exceptional nurses, doctors and staff.


You will bring to our high-performing team:
  • Previous experience in accurately receipting, dispatching and management of goods within a large organisation a similar role (desired)
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Good track record of maintaining imprest levels and supplies
  • Well-developed oral and written communication ability
  • Experience in the use bar code scanners
  • Ability to work within constraints of a set financial budget
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Medical product knowledge (desired)
  • Prior exposure to using lifting equipment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills
  • High degree of computer literacy & sound knowledge of computerised purchasing systems and Microsoft Office, including Excel
