This permanent position is available for a Trades Assistant to be part of a team within the Workshop and an immediate start is offered.
The successful applicant MUST possess the following attributes:
- Fitting and assembly workshop experience
- At least 5 years’ experience as a Trade Assistant
- Understanding of and commitment to OH&S and QA policies and procedures
- Must have current Car and Forklift Licence
- Any Heavy Vehicle licences would be advantageous
- Ability to work unsupervised, show initiative and self-motivation
- Have a keen eye for detail of finished products
- Have a positive attitude
- Ability to be flexible, adaptable and work overtime when required
- Must be fit and capable of doing physical work
- Must have own tools of the trade, all specialized tools are provided for use
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist Tradesmen with the repairs and maintenance of EWPs, Cable Trailers and Cable Handling Equipment
- Assist Tradesmen with repairs and maintenance in line with manufacturer's specifications and time frames
- Assemble new Plant and Equipment when required
- Commitment to continuous improvement in producing high quality products
- Liaise with team members to achieve on-time delivery of high quality product
- Achieve section KPIs and positively contribute to achievement of factory performance KPIs
- Ensure Company policies and procedures are followed
