Your new role

As a Welder/Boilermaker, you will fabricate and assemble our custom designed steel waste management equipment by permanently joining metal parts together through the application of appropriate welding techniques. You will be required to produce finished goods timely and accurately ensuring that all items meet our specifications and expectations without impacting on safety or quality.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be required to read and interpret diagrams, sketches and blueprints to determine operations, required materials and timeframes for the completion of the task at hand.

Requirements for success in the role:

  • Ensure sufficient task analysis are completed to carry work out safely.
  • Perform assigned duties in a timely and safe manner.
  • General Boiler making duties including use of: grinding, cutting (friction and Gas cutting), welding (GMAW, TIG, stick), polishing, Cropping, Pressing, Heat Treatment and Stress Relieving of Steels.
  • Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning with chemical solutions and wire brushes to remove impurities such as scale, rust, grease, and moisture
  • Co-ordinate and work in a team environment.
  • Maintain and use equipment as designed.
  • Ensure that work is performed as per Job Cards or ITP’s and current schedule of works.
  • Verify weld quality and conformance to specifications using various measures
  • Ensure all work is carried out to quality and specification requirements and that documentation is completed on time.
  • Daily time cards are completed accurately and on time.
  • Assist in the management of an harmonious environment, team building and training of apprentices and other employees as required.
  • Adherence to Company procedures at all timesOther tasks and activities as directed

To be considered for this role you must:

Essential:

  • Trade qualified with a minimum of 3+ years relevant experience

Preferable:

  • OHS General Induction Card (Construction General Induction)
  • NSW unrestricted driver’s license
  • High Risk Work License – Forklift Truck (LF)
