Redflex New South Wales services span 12 metro and regional depots including the operations centre in Ingleburn (Macarthur region).

The Opportunity

Due to the recent expansion of our operations an opportunity is now available for an experienced Service Operations Manager to lead the delivery of the New South Wales Mobile Speed Camera Program.  In NSW, the program currently employs up to 150 metro and regional based camera operators, processing and control room officers.

With a key focus on people and operations you will be responsible for the leadership of the Team Managers, and overall compliance and quality output of the team.

This position will be responsible for the following core duties:

  • Lead and develop the operational and administration teams through clear guidance and direction;
  • Monitor the performance of all teams and ensure contractual standards are maintained and exceeded;
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and thoroughly investigate and respond to all customer enquiries;
  • Ensure compliance to Work Health & Safety legislation and a commercial, Safety First approach to all delivery;
  • Upskill team managers so that processes and systems are used consistently;
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen processes and be able to implement these;
  • Oversee rotation, rostering and performance of team members throughout the state;
  • Detailed data interrogation, reporting, record keeping and invoicing processes;
  • Ensure operations are managed in line with agreed services levels and handle escalations;
  • Complex WHS risk & control assessments, regular field-based incident investigations;
  • Foster a work environment which encourages open communication and feedback within a disciplined approach;
  • From time to time intrastate travel will be required.

About You

To be successful, you will have a genuine passion for people management and enjoy working within an operational environment. You will bring background and expertise in contract and service level compliance and direct customer engagement.   Absolute attention to detail is essential.  

You will:

  • Come from a strong customer-focused background with previous experience in managing remote operations;
  • Be calm and consistent under pressure, be adaptable and able to support others through change;
  • Desire to problem solve and to use this knowledge to drive outcome or improvement;
  • Apply a high level of commercial and business acumen in decision making;
  • PMA or similar certification will be highly regarded, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and advanced proficiency in Excel (and other MS Office products).
