We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Process Improvement Analyst to join our team on a 12 month fixed-term contract.  This position will be based in the heart of the Sydney CBD.

About the role

You will help lead process improvement projects to improve Standards Development productivity, service to stakeholders (internal and external) and compliance to internal policies. This may include process mapping, analysis of current processes/metrics and identifying technology. Operating in a style that leads initiatives with cross-functional team involvement.  

Key responsibilities

  • Identify improvement opportunities and assess the impact of improvement plans through analysis of data, process reviews, and discussion with relevant stakeholders
  • Engage stakeholders and sponsors, collect, analyse, and interpret data
  • Document and present process improvement recommendations and provide detailed assessment of cost, benefits and risks
  • Plan and facilitate workshops for root cause analysis and solution identification
  • Lead and deliver process improvement initiatives and monitor the implementation of solutions
  • Proactively engage with internal stakeholders to ensure process improvements integrate into BAU practices and deliver the intended benefits.
  • Produce a wide range of policy, process and procedural deliverables (e.g. process maps and flowcharts, web content, guidance documents, forms etc.).
  • Assist with accreditation and internal compliance audits.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an individual with strong analytical and problem solving skills, who can deliver quality process outputs.  You will also have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and coordinate across different teams.  Crucial to your success, will be your ability to drive improvement initiatives to meet time, cost and quality objectives.

Minimum Education/Professional Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Tertiary qualified in appropriate disciplines.
  • Experience in Business Analysis roles focused on business process improvement, including:
    • Understanding of business processes, process modelling and design
    • Data collection and analysis
    • Root cause analysis and process improvement methodologies
    • Problem-solving and generating options for improvement
    • Engaging and coordinating cross-functional improvement teams
  • Experience planning, managing and delivering improvement initiatives
  • Strong skills in relevant software applications (e.g. MS Office suite, MS Visio etc).

  • Experience working in the following areas is advantageous, but not required:
    • Lean
    • 6 Sigma
    • BPM applications
    • certified quality systems
