The Project Management Office (PMO) is the centre of excellence for Project Management across CA ANZ, defining the controls and processes in place to prioritise our portfolio, support the allocation of resources, coordinate activities, identify and manage interdependencies, drive effective governance and reporting and foster the understanding and adoption of the project management lifecycle at all levels of the organisation.

Reporting into the CFO and working directly with the Transformation Director, the role offers an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned Project / Program Manager to work with the executive leadership team and their direct reports on Business Transformation. If you have the skills to balance the competing demands of scope, time, cost, quality, capacity and strategic alignment and are passionate about the success of your projects and your customers, this is the role for you!

Based in Sydney, this role will focus on consistently delivering member satisfaction. You will be responsible for:

Portfolio, Project and Program Management

  • Drive end to end project lifecycle at all levels of the organisation
  • Identify opportunities to execute, implement, close and ensure all documentation is complete at each stage
  • Manage cloud-based project management system
  • Prioritise projects to ensure projects meet deadlines and budgets
  • Enable timely decision’s and keep track of key milestones
  • Communicate and manage project dashboards and reports
  • Prepare and present steering committee pack - to summarise progress and flag areas requiring resolution

Drive continuous project improvement

  • Identify opportunities by reviewing and analysing projects
  • Instil a culture of continuous improvement to drive effective ways to achieve results
  • Upskill and coach teams on best practice project management controls and guidelines
  • Ensure teams are appropriately equipped to deliver the expected outcomes
  • Mitigate risks, oversee governance framework, report potential delays and offer options
  • Provide oversight and guidance to strategic regulatory projects
  • Hold owners accountable for their deliverables

Team work

  • Support teams to effectively manage and control the delivery of projects
  • Provide the leadership team with transparency on project performance
  • Work with subject matter experts on project needs for on-time, high-quality project delivery

Stakeholder Management

  • Drive project implementation updates via consistent engagement plan
  • Support relationship management to help timely completion of projects
  • Manage resourcing for projects with the project owner
  • Create awareness around project deliverables and celebrate project success

About you:

Proven experience in:

  • Project Management qualifications such as Agile, PMBOK or Prince 2
  • Up to 8 years demonstrated program delivery experience in a service industry setting
  • Ability to develop and lead PMO/Transformation team
  • Experience in portfolio prioritisation and business case development / execution
  • Strong relationship management, negotiation, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to coach team members to achieve KPI’s
  • Confident communicator with great presentation skills
  • Facilitate project updates in an agile way, leverage from visual management tools/methods
