About the role

The Senior Project Manager, Digital is accountable for the delivery of complex technology and web based projects both stand alone and within the program structure.

You will be required to utilise the agreed project management framework to effectively manage, execute and report on the projects you are responsible for. There will be a focus on schedule, budget, risk and issues management, documentation, quality control and managing project dependencies.  Projects may be delivered using vendor suppliers, internal supplier or a mix of both, and the Project Manager will be required to manage vendors to contract delivery alongside internal resources.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Successful delivery of assigned projects. Taking full responsibility for the structuring the project team, refining scope, developing the critical path and the delivery of the agreed objectives
  • Resource management including internal service providers and external vendors and any other stakeholders required for successful delivery through negotiation and influencing necessary stakeholders
  • Initiate, develop and maintain strong and effective internal and external networks that are relevant to meeting the completion of projects
  • Identify, assess, and manage the risks to the success of the project including dependencies across projects, political, business impact, market impact, and technical complexity
  • Provide effective leadership to the project team and take appropriate action where team performance deviates from agreed tolerances

Skills & experience

In order to succeed in this role, you will have the following:

  • Substantial career evidence of Agile and Waterfall project management including proven managment of multiple project concurrently within large and complex organisations
  • Extensive SDLC experience and technical knowledge of digital platforms
  • Delivering projects in a matrix transformation environment
  • Proven experience in successful budget responsibility for business projects over $10 million
  • Strong understanding of project costing and project profitability/ROI managment
  • Proficient skills in the use of Project Managment tool such as JIRA, Clarity and Primavera
  • Proven confidence in verbal communication with the successful ability to deal with people at all levels of an organisation including liaising with a wide range of diverse stakeholder
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
