The Opportunity
As our Benefits Intelligence Analyst within Medibank, you will work closely with Healthcare and Strategy, and various other business divisions to deliver analytical insights and recommendations. You will work closely with different business groups in identifying key reporting metrics and KPI’s along with developing actionable insights to support Medibank’s healthcare strategies and initiatives as well as delivering business value.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Establishing positive relationships across the team and stakeholder by showing awareness of individual needs and perspectives;
- Supporting development through report prototyping and providing subject matter expertise to our business stakeholders;
- Using appropriate tools (SAS / SQL, Excel) to develop processes/models that can be utilised on an as-needs basis;
- Monitoring trends in hospital benefit outlays and utilisation across MPL and ahm and compare to industry
- Providing insightful and targeted commentary on benefit outlay trends to the Leadership team and other stakeholders.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have economic, statistical or other quantitative analysis experience within a corporate environment. Your prior experience with SAS, SQL, R or Python programming languages as well as your ability to confidently build rapport and communicate effectively will be essential for this position.
You will have demonstrated experience working within a corporate environment along with a tertiary qualification in analytics/data science, health informatics, public health, maths/stats, commerce/economics or similarly quantitatively oriented discipline. You enjoy working with data and business problems and have an interest in continuing to develop your technical skills. You will have experience using Tableau framework.
Knowledge and understanding of the Australian health and private health insurance sectors would be desirable but not essential for this position.
