THE ROLE

Understanding IT sourcing and executing initiatives including:

• Sourcing assessments and transformations
• Developing end to end sourcing strategies;
• Supporting clients to define their requirements;
• Executing the sourcing process; and
• Negotiating the associated contracts to a successful outcome. 

Effectively works in project teams of 2-5 to:

• deliver high quality outcomes for our clients;
• assist in planning engagement objectives and strategy;
• gather and analyse data and requirements to structure a solution with options; and
• persuasively deliver recommendations to internal stakeholders and clients. 

YOU

You have in-depth knowledge of and a passion for IT, technology and innovation. You are highly motivated with a strong work ethic and client outcome focus. You develop and maintain productive relationships with clients, monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key internal and client stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes. You stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business. You are a self-starter who can work with limited supervision in unstructured ambiguous environments to develop and produce sourcing strategies, RFP requirements schedules, negotiation strategies, and contract-ready Statement of Work contractual documents. You value and learn from different opinions, different perspectives and will provide constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching/training to team members. You foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment, and play an active role in mentoring junior consultants within the organisation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• 4+ years of sourcing and procurement related experience, at least 2 of which having an IT focus, and ideally within a management consulting or strategic sourcing role
• Experience understanding, negotiating and drafting complex IT contracts
• Expertise in strategic sourcing, transformation/transition programs, sourcing and procurement technology implementation, spend analysis, supplier negotiations, contract development and management and supplier risk management
• Superior relationship building skills
• Experience working within a client facing environment
• Knowledge of, and keen interest in the Information Technology and Services industry
• Exceptional written and verbal communication
• Strong Microsoft office skills especially within Excel and Powerpoint
