The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst (Insights) to be a part of our Future Direction Growth & Performance Division within the Customer Service Directorate (CSD) at Sydney Trains. This position plays a pivotal role in researching and analysing the organisation’s business intentions, services, processes and information needs to provide effective insights and identification of changes that lead to business performance improvements and the achievement of desired customer experience outcomes.
Reporting to the Insights and Reporting Lead, your key responsibilities are but not limited to;

• Assist with development of insights and research reports to ensure strategic objectives are met
  
• Assist in the production of performance reporting and design of continuous improvement tools to help drive insights into the business
  
• Undertake qualitative and quantitative research to identify trends and assist with determining business priorities and requirements
  
• Review and analyse performance trends and contribute to development of appropriate actions and improvement plans
  
• Communicate key insights and findings and provide accurate advice and solutions to assist with specifying business requirements for new or existing solutions
  

We are looking for a proactive Business Analyst (Insights) who has demonstrated experience in business planning, strategic analysis or a similar discipline and extensive knowledge of data visualisation practices and tools. You will also have thorough knowledge and working experience in qualitative and quantitative research to identify trends and assist with determining business priorities and requirements.

Essential requirements

• Demonstrated analysis experience in business planning, strategic analysis or a similar discipline
