Role
We are at an exciting growth stage within our Merchant business and we are seeking a Senior Managing Consultant with Merchant experience to join the team and play a key role in this growth.
This is a true consulting role and the successful candidate will enjoy working in a global organization to deliver significant and strategic medium to large projects during this exciting growth phase for ANZ.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering top quality work in the consulting services business, with focus on building the merchant consulting business.
- Function as a senior project manager for delivery projects
- Rigorously and logically identify issues covering client problems in the projects managed
- Generate key hypotheses and independently structures work at the project level
- Develop effective working relationships with mid- to senior-level client management
- Synthesize analyses into clear, sound recommendations
- Independently assess client agenda, internal culture and change readiness.
- Create effective, impactful and quality assured storylines and slides at the project level
- Leads small team of consultants in AP region
- Participates in recruiting, training, and developing team members, as requested
All About You
- Suitable candidates will bring previous consulting experience from a leading consulting firm and industry experience, specifically from retailers, hotels or airlines
- Demonstrate excellent analytical, communication (verbal and written) and influencing skills
- You enjoy working as a team member and independently and multi-tasking in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment is second nature to you
- Your previous experience in managing projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment will ensure your success
- Advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Undergraduate degree required, MBA or relevant post graduate degree recommended
- This role is based in Sydney and the majority of the work will be based in Australia, however there may be the need to travel within APAC depending on projects
This role is based in our Nth Sydney office, however we will be relocating all our Sydney-based employees mid 2018 into one new location at St Leonards.
