• VPSG-5 salary range $95,275 - $115,276 p.a + super + leave loading
• One (1) full time, ongoing position available

About the role:

The State Emergencies and Support Command (SESC) drives Victoria Police's strategic agenda and operational response for emergency management, operational communications, custodial management, real-time monitoring and events management. The Business Management Division's strategic focus is to:

• Strengthen business governance practices and business planning and reporting;
• Develop and implement sound finance and budget strategies;
• Implement strategic Human Resources , workforce planning, communications and professional development initiatives; and
• Build the Command's business capability.

Some of your duties will include:

• Preparation of periodic progress reports and documentation.
• Leading project planning sessions.
• Engaging and managing internal and external stakeholder relationships.
• Identifying and developing risk mitigation plans.
• Optimising and improving processes.
• Policy review and development.
• Implementing solutions and manage the change management process.
• Developing training manuals or programs where relevant.
• Conducting post project workshops.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

• Organisational awareness - Assessing and making recommendations on current business practises. Developing new approaches and creating and amending business processes to align with understanding of organisational goals and address obstacles.
• Experience in managing projects and providing expert advice.
• Demonstrated experience in all aspects pf change and project management, including project analysis, research, systems analysis, developing and coordinating strategic projects in a complex environment.
• Demonstrated superior level communication skills, including the ability to write high quality concise reports, briefs and correspondence.
• Proven ability to provide authoritative advice and solutions on governance and strategic issues.

Qualifications:

• A relevant tertiary or post-graduate qualification in finance, accounting, business management or project management is desirable.
