About the business

ISACNT are the Leaders in Industry Skills Advice. We engage and work with industry, business, associations, employees, training organisations, schools and government supporting workforce development, vocational education training and upskilling across the Northern Territory.

About the role

The role will plan and develop models to address industry workforce supply and demand requirements to foster a culture of innovation in the Territory and grow local capacity.

Primary Duties

  • Collaboratively partner with a range of key stakeholders across Northern Australia to leverage existing resources to deliver outcome based, successful industry workforce plans for the Northern Territory.
  • Conduct environmental scans and labor market research; undertake skills gaps analysis; anaylse workforce gaps and risks and identify strategies to address workforce supply and demand requirements.
  • Undertake industry workforce planning and innovative workforce development to support regional workforce and major projects in the Northern Territory.
  • Develop a variety of flexible templates of best practice models and key components which can be adapted and transformed by communities and industries to support future workforce development projects.
  • Research, analyse and prepare high level reports for government agencies and public distribution.
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder relations and networks.

Skills and experience

To be successful in the role you must possess:

  • Demonstrated experience in strategic industry workforce planning and development, industry profiling and skills gap analysis, with substantial project management experience.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of and experience in contemporary research and data analysis and reporting including problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions for the workforce.
  • Proved ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders to ensure positive and effective outcomes.
  • Proved ability to deliver innovative models that support workforce planning and development.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently under broad direction and act collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated understanding of political, economic, social and cultural issues impacting rural and remote regions of Northern Australia and its labour market.
  • Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline.
