NELA has an exciting NEW opportunity for a Sports and Recreation advisor to join the Land, Planning and Environment team. Reporting directly into the Manager, Business Engagement, this position will partner with and provide guidance and support to community and sporting facilities affected by the project.

We are looking for a candidate with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, practical knowledge of consultation and engagement strategies, experience in managing multiple tasks at once and a thorough understanding of issues relating to planning for sporting clubs and recreational facilities.

This position will play a key role in supporting community and sporting facilities affected by North East Link. The successful candidate will understand the strategic and business objectives of the recreational and sporting facilities affected, so they can best provide strategic advice, guidance and recommendations through the development of North East Link. The scope of this position is wide and varied, no two days will be the same.

The successful candidate will be a professional who thrives on establishing and building relationships, both with internal and external stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated background and experience in planning for and supporting sporting and recreational facilities, thrive on establishing relationships, and be a strong communicator with a collaborative approach to achieving outcomes.
