The UGM Group is an international engineering and mining services company specialising in the supply of production support to the NSW and QLD coal mining industry and related sectors.
UGM is currently seeking applications for an experienced, safety focused and motivated Maintenance Supervisor (Electrical), preferably with underground mining experience to be a part of our Highwall Mining Project at Dawson Mine.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this is a hands-on role responsible for the day to day electrical maintenance, technical support and repairs on our Highwall Mining System to enable the project to function at optimum efficiency and effectiveness.
This role will be a 7 on 7 off roster based onsite at Dawson Mine and accommodation is available.
Applicants must meet the below essential criteria to be considered.
Essential criteria:
- Demonstrated minimum 5 years supervisory experience in mining or similar industry
- Electrical Trade qualification
- Genuine commitment to health, safety, community and environment
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously when required and as part of a team
- Current Standard 11,Mine Site Safety Supervisor (formerly S1, S2, S3) and Current Qld Coal Board Medical (or ability to obtain)
- Team development and management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Negotiation skills and strategic thinking
- Problem solving, fault finding and analytical capabilities
