About the Role
WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager within Bowen Basin for an Immediate Start. This position will be for 6 months duration with a Monday to Friday roster.
The primary purpose of this Project Manager role is to run a portfolio of OPEX modification and CAPEX projects within the PDM Engineering department.
Other Role Responsibilities include
• Experienced in bulk and detailed earthworks for mine style roads, drainage, piping and general civil construction projects.
• Able to be responsible for delivering a portfolio of multi-discipline small capital projects (<$5M). (Managing schedule, cost, scope, stakeholders, contractors) through all project phases
• Experience in managing multiple projects at various project phases in a similar timeframe
Project Management Experience (Civil and Multi-discipline projects in a mining / engineering area)
• Preparing project business cases
• Writing design/construction scopes
• Understanding engineering requirements and standards
• Management of tender processes
• Management of approved projects (Scheduling, cost control)
• Risk management (risk assessments, change management)
• Project construction field experience
Required Skills and Experience
• Minimum 6 months mine experience
• Current Coal Board Medical
• Current Standard 11
• Drivers License and Own Transport
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Project Management on Coal Mine site
• Experience with projects for haul roads and/or dams
• 1SAP Experience (Submitting purchase reqs, cost reporting)
