The Position

We are  seeking an experienced Senior QHSE Advisor to join the EnerMech team at our Head Office in Henderson. Reporting directly to the National QHSE Manager, you will be responsible for providing functional Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental expertise nationally across our facilities and projects.

 Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Contribute to compliance with all relevant Work Health and Safety legislation
  • Champion the continued success of the QHSE Management System
  • Assist in development of QHSE systems and procedures, as required
  • Provide support, mentoring and coaching to project teams to ensure obligations are met
  • Lead, facilitate and/or participate in incident investigations 
  • Contribute to the compilation of Australian Regional QHSE reports and statistics
  • Conduct safety inductions and in-house training, as required
  • Contribute to the management of all training records
  • Conduct hazard observations and risk assessments
  • Undertake regular QHSE audits  
  • Comply with all of EnerMech's corporate policies and procedures by adopting EnerMech's Quality Assurance and Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures and requirements
  • Attend client QHSE meetings, as required
  • Participate in the Continual Improvement processes
  • Participate in Change Management processes
  • Timely and cost effective delivery of QHSE services
  • Undertake travel to EnerMech facilities and projects, as required
  • Participate in on-going training and self-development
  • Provide support for Worker Compensation claims
  • Coordinate and supervise QHSE administration staff 
Skills and Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in OHS or a related discipline
  • Experience in an HSE role within the oil & gas industry
  • A proven background in the development of HSE policies and procedures 
  • Good understanding of HSE legislation and requirements
  • Good understanding of ISO, AS/NZ and NATA and other quality legislative requirements
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical processes
  • Experience in workshop environments
  • Flexibility with working hours relating to operational requirements 
  • Regular interstate travel to all national EnerMech locations
