Brisbane Motorway Services is currently looking for an experienced civil maintenance trades assistant to join its team for an immediate start. This is your opportunity to join a friendly, positive and successful organisation where the safety of our people and the environment is at the forefront of all that we do. This is a fixed term, full time contract role until March 2019.
The Trades Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Civil Maintenance team in providing effective and efficient maintenance services to ensure compliance with contractual and statutory requirements.
In this role you will be required to:
- Contribute towards a culture of safety and health above all else.
- Contribute to the delivery of projects on time and within budget.
- Ensure subcontractors are assisted in an effective and responsive manner to achieve project objectives.
- Ensure project standards and quality are achieved.
- Develop and deliver against a project plan.
- Ensure comprehensive records are established and maintained to assist decision making.
- Ensure relevant stakeholders requirements are met by building and maintaining productive internal and external relationships.
- Participate and contribute to an effective and productive team.
To be successful in this position, you will be required to meet the following selection criteria:
- Have at least two years demonstrated civil maintenance or mechanical maintenance experience.
- Hold current drivers licence: LR (light rigid) essential, MR essential
- Construction white card
- Forklift licence
- First aid certificate
- Working at heights training and experience
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to deliver high quality work and achieve results.
- Client focus and professionalism.
