Our client is an ASX 200 Listed company providing project delivery and consulting services to the resources and energy sectors, and complex process industries.

As a result of an internal transfer we have an opportunity for a Site Contract Manager with a strong experience in brownfield engineering project management activities including; client relationships, commercial management, team leadership and people management skills.

Based on the southwest coast of Victoria at an Aluminium Smelter, you will manage and enhance the relationship between the client and the company to achieve agreed business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities include:

Provide brown field project management expertise to the development and execution of projects including routine maintenance, upgrades and shutdowns
Identify and communicate client requirements to maintain and build healthy client relationships throughout the life of the Contract
Effectively manage all stakeholders to enhance the reputation of the company as a services provider
Be the custodian of the delivery of safe, cost-effective and high-quality brownfield project services and solutions to the operation
Guide and support the team in their management of positive client relationships
Manage performance to achieve or exceed contracts KPIs
Ensure continuity of the Contract through the provision of value add services that are aligned with the client’s changing business requirements, whilst increasing the overall value of the contract for both the client and the company
Ensure that responsibility and accountability is clearly defined, and performance managed for all team members
Ensure resourcing requirements are met through recruitment and planned employee movement processes
Maintain project performance and customer satisfaction by liaising between the client and the contract senior management team
Liaise with project management personnel and stakeholders to ensure compliance with all HSEC, work quality, constructability, cost and schedule requirements and the achievement of successful project outcomes

To be successful for this role you must satisfy the following selection criteria:

A minimum of 5 years’ experience working on brownfield projects
Previous experience as a Contract or Project Manager role within heavy industry
A recognised engineering degree in the relevant discipline or equivalent
Ability to carry on “hands on” project engineering work as well as fulfil the Project Manager role
Demonstrated success in the leadership and management of a portfolio of projects in complex processing, engineering or manufacturing plants
Strong business acumen, demonstrating a sound understanding of client value drivers in engineering service delivery
