We are pleased to be recruiting for South32 at their GEMCO operation on Groote Eylandt.
The Role:
The key purpose of the Specialist Production A&I is to provide specialist advice, identify and progress improvement initiatives and execute benchmarking across the Production and Maintenance functions.
Focused on fixed and mobile plant responsibilities will include:
• Development and maintenance of operation improvement initiatives
• Leading investigations into equipment downtime
• Cost analysis in the areas of general operations, downtime, business systems and resources
• Input to production and maintenance budgets
• Analysis for increased productivity and reduction of operating costs
• Development of strategies for equipment monitoring
• Development and evaluation of critical and insurance spares to reduce risk
• Input in the areas of production processes, standards and work instructions
About you:
It is essential you bring a proven track record in a similar role ideally with some asset management exposure. In addition, you will bring the following:
• A Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering is essential
• Proven experience in the field of engineering within the mining sector on fixed plant - 5+ years
• Sound understanding of preventative maintenance strategies
• Exposure to Business Improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean etc)
• Proficiency in the use of MinVu, Downtime Data Analysis, Autodesk Inventor, Autocad, Apollo RCAM/S Office and SAP would be highly regarded
