Seeking an experienced Safety Advisor for an underground mine in Mt Isa for an immediate vacancy.

Your new company
With operational sites in Queensland and across Australia, this mining house ensures strategic forward planning approaches are taken to its mining methods. This mining house requires an experienced Safety Advisor in Mt Isa for an immediate start.

Your new role
As a Safety Advisor you will be responsible for safety and compliance across a major underground mining operation in Mt Isa. You will carry out risk assessments, site inspections, toolbox talks, investigations and ensure all staff on site are adhering to current WHS codes of practice and legislation. This role is based in Mt Isa so applicants must be residentially based or prepared to relocate and is offered on an 5:2 roster. Relocation and accommodation assistance are available.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position you will have a qualification in Health & Safety (Diploma minimum) and experience and certification with ICAM Investigation. You have prior experience within mining or heavy industry, preferably with a background in underground mining. You will need to be an excellent communicator, work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail and have the ability to develop strong working relationships with staff.
