Eveready Group of Companies specialise in labour supply to the Mining Industry in Queensland. In addition to this, we are automotive experts; boasting a successful workshop in Paget, Mackay Queensland.

As our business and client base is rapidly growing, we are currently looking to employee more Auto Electricians & HV Auto Electricians on a Full-time basis. We have various opportunities available as outlined below:

1. Blackwater mine: lifestyle roster 5:4:4:5, rotating day & night shift in pre-strip working on heavy earth moving plant, Komatsu 930E & 830E experience essential. Coal board medical and Standard 11 are essential for this position

1. Mackay Eveready Workshop: Mon-Fri roster 5:2, day shift, working on a variety of LV, MV, & HV equipment

1. Field work: Based in Mackay, travelling to Coppabella, Rockhampton, Mt Isa, Clermont, Moranbah etc. Mon-Fri 5:2, day shift, working on a variety of LV, MV & HV equipment

1. Mackay Komatsu Workshop: Mon-Fri roster 5:2, day shift, working on Komatsu equipment only

1. Mackay CAT Workshop: Mon-Fri roster 5:2, day shift, working on CAT equipment only

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Service and provide support to our expanding customer base.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of highly complex electrical and electronic equipment.
• Diversified maintenance and repair of various electronic equipment in passenger vehicles, light and heavy duty trucks and other related equipment.
• Participates in and coordinates the installation, adjustment, and maintenance of special electrical-electronic equipment such as emergency vehicle warning lights, strobe and siren systems.
• Designs, specifies and installs custom vehicular charging systems.
• Assists in developing vehicle specifications including electrical-electronic load requirements. Includes rehab/rebuild requirements.
• Assists in developing training and safety standards and requirements for automotive mechanics, technicians, and vehicle operators.
• Estimates time and materials required for proposed jobs.
• Maintains records, prepares and submits reports.
• Requisitions supplies and equipment.
• Excellent customer relations as you will be communicating with our clients.
• Completion of all relevant documentation including timesheets, inspection reports, quotations, incident reports, safety documents, inductions and familiarisations; communication; employee safety, welfare, wellness and health.
• Provides feedback on the effectiveness of processes and procedures and recommend changes in line with continuous improvement principle, and performs related work as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Exposure to Komatsu 830E and 930E Electric trucks essential (Blackwater only)
• 2 years Post Trade Qualified Certificate 3 Automotive Electrical
• Certificate 2 in Air-Conditioning (Preferred)
• ARC Licence (Preferred)
• Current Standard 11
• Coal Board Medical
• Valid Manual Drivers Licence
• Break down and field experience
• BMA Core/Bridging & Blackwater Site Inductions (Preferred)
