About RepuTex Energy

Established in 1999, RepuTex is Australia's leading provider of energy and emissions market analytics. We provide public and private sector clients with advanced energy market insights and advisory services, focusing on market design, policy and price formation for the local renewable energy, power and emissions markets.

The role

We are seeking a qualified analyst with a background in economics or environmental sciences (or related disciplines) to work on a project related to the modelling of greenhouse gas emissions reduction costs and volumes for Australian industrial and extractive industries (electricity, energy, transport, mining, iron and steel, cement, etc), and the land-sector (i.e. sequestration).

You will work directly with our Senior Analysts to analyse the financial cost of undertaking a range of land sector and industrial activities (i.e. industrial processes or technologies), mapping the greenhouse gas emissions abatement potential of each activity, potential efficiencies, and technical and economical feasibility and barriers of implementing these activities.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor or Master degree in economics, environmental sciences or related disciplines;
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge on industrial processes, technologies and industries, notably the Australian transport, industrial and extractive sectors;
  • Strong understanding of financial and economic concepts such as capex, return on investment, market barriers, etc.;
  • Excellent research, analytical and report writing skills;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Excellent working efficiency and experience in commercial project delivery.

This full time casual role will commence in July, with the initial project expected to run for approximately 8-12 weeks.

Based on the success of the project the successful candidate may be considered for a full time role beyond the initial project phase.

Interested candidates are invited to submit both a Letter of Interest and CV, along with any relevant sample research and writing to [email protected]
