The Opportunity
Northern Star is focusing on providing flexible working hours and part-time options for primary caregivers interested in returning to the workforce. We currently have two opportunities for part-time Geologists at our Kundana Operation. These roles offer a flexible part-time roster and a fantastic opportunity to return to your geology career.
The primary responsibility of the role will be diamond core logging, training junior geologists, updating and improving procedures and ensuring good QA/QC along with sampling practices being adhered too.
This role is a residential role, requiring the successful incumbent to reside in Kalgoorlie or the local area.
Skills Required:
- Degree majoring in Geology from a recognised tertiary institution, preferably with Honours.
- More than 3 years experience working in Geology
- Experience in logging diamond core
- Current manual "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with QA/QC processes.
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of environments.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
