About the company:
Our client owns and operates a number of base metals mines across the globe. Publicily listed and growing with an experienced executive leadership team they are looking to lift the standards and improve operatons at one of there U/G hard rock mines in Southern Africa.
About the role:
The role would suit a mining engineer with experience and skills across drill & blast, ventilation, production, tactical and operations. (its not a long term planning role). With this experience you will assist in the development of the local workforce and also run a number of operational & technical improvement projects.
The site has a workforce of around 620 nationals and a small expat team. You will be supported by a Expat 1st Class Mine Manager & GM. Mining method is long hole stoping.
Skills & experience required:
- Degree in mining engineering
- Must have experience in U/G Hard Rock in an Australian Mine
- A mindset and style of leadership that revolves around coaching, mentoring and developing people
- Experience across Drill & Blast, mine ventilation, production & short term planning
- Expat experience is not essential - so if you are looking for your first overseas role then this would be the perfect opportunity
