The opportunity
The role of the Principal Business Planner is to be responsible for the creation of an integrated business plan (>2 years), consistent with the corporate strategy for the Australian operations. In addition you will:
- Responsible for developing the Australian manganese business plan
- Responsible for implementing sound systems and processes that can provide a life of operation plan with a high degree of accuracy
- Responsible for the detailed capital planning in the life of operation plan
- Participates in the development of closure plans for the operations
- Performs ad hoc scenario modelling to test equipment purchases, closures of operations, up or down scaling of the specific operation
- Build and maintain a healthy relationship with all internal and external stakeholders
- Financial Analysis
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualification, Financial qualification highly regarded
- Cost Modelling (advantageous)
- Technical expertise in mining or heavy industrial processes (metallurgy, mining, chemical engineering, environmental)
- Deal with ambiguity in having to do modelling for 1 to 80 years in advance
- Report writing
