About the Role

Reporting to the Superintendent of Maintenance Execution, the Mechanical Supervisor leads the mechanical maintenance team in the delivery of the work schedule for fixed plant, and provides support services to maintain plant availability. This is completed to achieve safe and reliable operations whilst striving for our target of Zero Harm.

About you

You will be a suitably experienced and qualified individual in the field of fixed plant Mechanical Maintenance and have had relevant experience in a fixed plant maintenance leadership / supervisory role.

You must be familiar with computer based maintenance systems, budgeting and cost management systems.

Advanced communication skills are a must as you will be required to liaise with personnel at all levels of the business on regular occasions. Coaching and facilitating skills are essential as will be the ability to utilise influencing skills to influence key personnel across different work functions.

You will also be involved in resource development and labour allocation of tasks and setting up processes and systems This will include:

• work pack and job method development;
• refinement and development of standards, work methods and procedures;
• development of schedules and labour requirements;
• procurement of materials and services;
• scoping and planning of tasks including problem solving and design input;
• leading and developing multidiscipline mechanical team.

A current WA Drivers Licence and Mechanical Trade Certificate are essential.

Nickel West Mt Keith

Nickel West Mt Keith is located 460 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in the Northern Goldfields.  Nickel West Mt Keith is a surface mining operation with an open pit and concentrator plant.  The operation is surrounded by pastoral stations, with the nearest townships being Leinster and Wiluna.  There’s plenty to keep you entertained in the Mt Keith Village.  Take the heat off the day and head to the pool – or join in a game of footy.  BBQ dinners are regularly held and other social activities include movie nights.  Employees commute to and from Perth on a fly in / fly out roster or form regional areas on a drive in / drive out roster.
