About the role
Reporting to the Field Tech. Supervisor, this is a site-based role working predominantly in Hunter NSW & Central QLD. Some international work will be required. Applicant may have home base elsewhere to head office (Newcastle NSW), including interstate.
Specific duties include:
- Install and/or supervise the installation of low voltage Guardvant Technology in mining equipment cabins.
- Assist with scheduling equipment for installations and manage standby time if applicable.
- Repair and troubleshoot Guardvant equipment (training provided).
- Reduce cost and time of installation by developing new methods of installation, custom brackets, custom cables, and sourcing local products.
- Assist our support team by providing first level diagnosis on site or remotely for hardware issues.
Skills and experience
- Min. Completed Higher School Certificate
- Technical knowledge of mobile fleet technology in harsh industrial environments
- Experience with low voltage auto electrical work or a relevant trade certificate
- Compliance with all relevant WHS requirements
- Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and promptly.
