We are looking for a suitably qualified Contracts Advisor to help one of our valued clients for a period of up to 4 months.

About the role:

  • You will perform supply chain and contract analysis and generate information to support timely and appropriate commercial decision making. In addition you will undertake and provide support in the negotiation and management of various foundation contracts in supply chain including but not limited to electricity, fuels and water contracts.

Duties:

Develop monthly quarterly and annual plans to minimise supply chain costs.
• Monitor and conduct variance analysis on plans.
• Assist in managing regulatory compliance obligations.
• Undertake supply chain analysis and generate information to support timely and appropriate commercial decision making.
• Assist in developing and implementing plans and tactics to resolve contractual disputes.
• Assist in preparation of meetings with stakeholders.
• Ensure that all ongoing contract management issues relating to foundation system contracts are addressed
in line with procurement and contract management protocols.
• Assist in implementing risk management processes to minimise the impact of unforeseen issues
• Provide monthly reporting on the performance of suppliers on their contractual obligations.
• Provide support and advice to the business on contractual matters.
• Engage and facilitate internal stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes

You will have:

• A minimum of 3 years experience in a commercial environment preferably with exposure to contract management.
• Experienced in commercial options analysis to enable appropriate decision making

A Bachelor degree level, in one of the following disciplines or similar (Engineering/Commerce/Economics/Finance)
• Knowledge of the Western Australian energy industry and utility markets.
• A high level of competency using the suite of Microsoft Office software..
• Advanced proficiency in spread sheet software e.g excel, TM1, etc
• Ability to clearly and coherently articulate information in both written and verbal communications.
• Proven ability to understand and analyse complex relationships.
• Ability to prioritise tasks.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative, as well as work in a team and follow instructions with precision.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to understand complex issues and simplify into workable solutions.
• Good interpersonal skills.
