Currently our trusted client is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to commence with their Perth-based operations immediately.
Our client is a Global Leading Iron Ore producer that owns/manages some of the largest mines in Australia.
Due to continued growth, an opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Process Engineer to come in and embed themselves within the Perth-based team effective immediately for 6-12 months.
Reporting into the Superintendent Process Engineer, you will be required to:
- Ensure compliance to company standards & statutory obligations
- Oversee overall technical quality, integrity and adequacy of designs
- Provide metallurgical support across multiple departments and this is inclusive of both onsite/offsite process improvement test-work programs
- Assist in driving maximum efficiency from Process Engineers, Metallurgical Technicians & OPF Samplers
- Ensure process related EPC deliverables on project document distribution review matrices are completed (Process Design Criteria, Mass / Water balances, PFD’s, P&ID’s, Process Equipment sizing, Process Control Philosophy)
- High commitment to safety, ensuring adherence and delivery of HSEC standards & procedures
- Review and coordinate engineering input into procurement and construction contract packages, tender evaluations, bid clarifications and recommendations
- Development of KPIs in line with company's lower cost/more efficient vision & strategy
To be successful in this role, it would be desirable to have the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy (or equivalent)
- High attention to detail and excellent written & verbal communication skills
- 10 years or more experience as Process Engineer in a mineral processing environment
- 5 years direct EPCM house/ Consultancy process engineering experience on major mineral processing projects working on materials handling, crushing, screening and wet beneficiation process plant (especially physical separation unit processes).
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and process modelling software such as LIMN
- Prior understanding of production & maintenance strategies for large scale processing plants
- Working knowledge of data/reporting systems such as SAP, BMS, Babelfish etc
